We went to Louisville today. The first thing was to pick up the weapon, but the primary reason was for me to be appointed the administrator of Joshuas estate. The ironic ( and sad) thing is he really doesnt have any estate. This was to be a routine thing or so we thought. When my name was called our attorney and Judy and I stepped forward. As we did a stranger in a suit did as well. This was a surprise to us, but really, we were in such an emotional state we were not thinking clearly at all. So here we are, the parents of the deceased and our attorney joined by this grinning stranger who just joined our party. Afterwards we found he was an attorney for the student loan people. Even through we had a court action ruling out their claim, there was an attorney there to see if there were any scrapes they could clean up. If I had had my wits about me I would have had some decidedly non-Christian words to share with him. I have listened to their phone calls to Josh on his phone. One group called politely every day. Every day! This group called more infrequently but with a decided authoritative, threatening tone. The judge definitely was looking out for us and while we have to do all this again, it looks like it will benefit us in the long run. Judy made it out to the street until she just collapsed. I dont have anything against the young man who showed up there (he could use a lesson in how to be present with grieving people) but his superiors leave a lot to be desired.
