Hubbard and Hubbard Township Police Officers were honored yesterday evening at an awards dinner hosted by the Hubbard Optimists Club at The Gentry. Sgt. Chris Moffitt was the Hubbard Officer of the Year. Sgt. Moffitt has served with distinction and honor in our community and is a very highly regarded trainer. As a Patrol Supervisor, Sgt. Moffitt assists us in developing our young officers into mature individuals who are ready in every way to take on the challenges that a career in law enforcement brings. He is a bright, energetic, compassionate and genuinely well rounded individual. He was the driving force behind the Hubbard Police ALICE program, and has a well earned reputation as an innovative and creative trainer for our law enforcement officers. Sgt. Moffitt possesses the character traits we at Hubbard Police have always admired and we couldnt be prouder of him. We hope our Facebook friends will offer their congratulations when they see Sgt. Moffitt! Way to go Chris! Hubbard Township Officer of the Year is Sgt. Greg Tarr. We have always admired the work of Sgt. Tarr and cant think of a more deserving honoree. Way to go Greg! Hubbard Fire chose Todd Robinson as Firefighter of the year. He was unable to attend due to a previous commitment so hes not in any of our pictures of the event. We admire his work as well and were proud of his service to our community. Congrats Todd! Each year our Hubbard Optimists Club celebrate the achievements of our police and fire services by awarding the Officer and Firefighter of the year awards for the City and Township Police as well as the Hubbard Fire Department. We would like to take just a moment to express our profound gratitude to the Optimist Club. We appreciate the kindness you have shown to our police officers and firefighters. Kudos to the Hubbard Optimist Club and on behalf of the men and women of Hubbard Police THANK YOU!
