Hubby booked for woman’s death in Thane. THANE: The husband of the 38-year-old woman who was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her plush residence in Balkum has been booked on Wednesday. The Kapurbavdi police said that a case of abetment of suicide has been registered on the basis of a statement given by Bharat Sharma, the brother of the deceased. Sharma in his statement has alleged that Snehas husband Rajesh used to often doubt her character. They used to have frequent quarrels in the past over this and Sneha had also allegedly complained of domestic violence. There could be a possibility that Sneha was fed up with these fights and harassment after which she decided to take such a drastic step, said senior police inspector Sushil Kadam. However, the official said that no arrests have been made yet and that the statements would be thoroughly investigated. Other family members will also be questioned in the case. We are yet to receive the medical and forensic reports of the deceased from the Kalina laboratory. Only after we receive these details will we be able to go ahead with our investigation, said Kadam.
