Hubby does the majority of cooking but I made dinner tonight and it was so good - shrimp cooked in the oven on a bed of melted butter and lemon slices, sprinkled with dry Italian dressing mix, basamati rice with sautéed mushrooms and onions and fresh green beans. All the butter used for these concoctions was the incredible Irish butter I bought to make the apple crisp last weekend. I am not half the cook my hubby is but I am finally getting him to step aside and let me cook. Tonight I think we were both quite happy. In another universe (marriage) far, far away I was the primary cook and not a bad one. In this partnership no one would argue that Jay is the better cook but slowly as he gives me room beside him in the kitchen he is starting to see I do have some skills - LOL!
