And we do not see in you over us any merit; rather, we think you are liars." One of the sure signs of intellectual defeat are Ad Hominem attacks. When a person attacks the person rather than their argument or notion. Allah , Glorified is he, described such defeatist traits of the mushrikeen of the past. On your path to Allah you may have experienced such attacks already, possibly in the form of " What do you know? You just started praying a few days ago " Etc. So know that this is nothing new and those without Taqwa or intellect have resorted to such logical fallacies throughout history and know that Allah himself informed you about such arguments and he knows your plight.
