Human Resources Officer Hi-Lo Food Stores (JA) Reporting to the Senior HR Officer, the incumbent is responsible for providing effective HR support within the supermarket chain. Key Responsibilities Manage the third party contract portfolio, interfacing with the provider and supporting the working environment for the contractors Conduct regular visits to all Hi-Lo locations island-wide to assess and identify human resource issues Plan and implement Employee Relations and Reward and Recognition Programmes Process job applications and assist with interviews Plan and implement training for new line staff at all Hi Lo Locations Support the development and implementation of the Annual Training Plan Prepare & submit information to payroll & other central services departments within deadlines and monitor to ensure compliance with policy Accurate and up-to-date record-keeping Maintenance of HR database and preparing reports Conduct Orientation for new recruits Qualifications Degree in Human Resources Management, Management Studies or equivalent Sound understanding of Jamaican Labour Laws Two (2) years working experience preferably in an HR position, or in administration Proficiency in the use of the computer and relevant software, in particular word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and scheduling applications Prior experience working with a Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) would be an asset, SAP experience would be highly desirable Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven time management and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability as a flexible team player - ability to relate well and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel Ability to work with minimal supervision and a high degree of accountability Unquestionable integrity and confidentiality Deadline For Applying Interested persons are invited to submit applications by Wednesday, July 31, 2013 gracekennedy/node/3298
