Human love fails. Regardless of how hard we try, sometimes our hearts are broken beyond repair. We are only human; sometimes we unintentionallyhurt & disappoint those we deeply love. We cannot hope to build lasting marriages on the shallow foundation of our human love. We cannot hope to tie a permanent marriage bond with temporary fibers of human hearts. We cannot truly love until we understand what true love is. Selfless love cannot spring from a selfish heart. God is love & true love is divine. We need to love our spouses with the unfailing, selfless, long suffering, everlasting & sacrificial love whose source is God. Allow God to transform your heart first then let Him channel His love to your spouse through you. Driven by divine love & dipped in unmerited forgiveness, our marriages will only get better & better each day. Let your prayer be Change my heart oh Lord. Make it ever new. Amen
