Humanity takes a left turn; Running errands with g-paw in downtown Ventura. Turning into the Vons/rite-aid parking lot and notice a couple people standing in traffic looking concerned. I then notice a man face down in the street! I pulled around and approached, asked if he fell? Nobody knew, they were just trying to keep cars from hitting him. Knowing this area has a well known homeless population, I checked for pulse then rubbed his ribs with my knuckles as he wasnt responding to verbal commands. While Im helping this man, another man yells from his car (Apparently afraid to get out) DONT TOUCH HIM! REALLY? your first response as a human being,to seeing a homeless man in trouble is dont touch him?? Wallah, hes awake and when I asked him to get up off the street cuz someone called the police, he got up & moved back up onto the grass. Im still disturbed by peoples ignorance. If he really was in need of life saving, what, just wait?!!
