Humble Hearts wants to organize a Sock Hop fundraiser where we can collect monetary gifts as well as socks to pass out to the homeless, & low income families. We are looking for anyone who would like to volunteers as a partner to sponsor or host a place to help us raise funds, & awareness to the dangers the homeless people have to face with having to live their life walking around in dirty shoes, & socks. In the fall/Summer these homeless people are exposed to rain leaving them to sit all day in wet socks. Along with not being able to shower to take care of themselves properly through hygiene they develop athlete’s foot which for some who suffer from HIV/AIDS can be deadly. It breaks my heart so we pass out socks at our own cost to help when we can. The demand to replace everyone we come across with clean socks is growing and we personally cannot keep up with the demand. Promoters, producers, agencies, restaurant owners, bar owners anyone willing to donate a place please reach out to us we are looking to host this event in Sept before the Fall/ Winter arrive. If you look at the pic of Randy who is suffering from AIDS he has been wearing the same socks for 3 months I cant tell you enough how bad it smelt when he removed his shoes to put on the new socks we gave him. Look at the before and after pics to see the difference together we as a society can work as a community and help out the best way we can we’ll even take your old socks to hand them down.
