Humboldt State University Human Performance Lab re-tested Diana’s 1RM for front squat after a four week muscular endurance training program. The weight that was lifted in the video is at 200lbs (before 195lbs, increased by 2.56% (although she did endurance training program)). Diana’s exercise volume for front squats (we did not show here) prior to the four week muscular endurance training program was 4,160 lbs. After post volume results is now 6,110 lbs (increased by 46.8%). During her front squat descending resistance training program, it involved high volume (~7,000 lbs) with short resting periods between sets is enough to increase lactate and proton accumulation, which have been suggested as primary stimuli for the exercise-induced growth hormone.
