Hundreds of people from Aglar, Pulwama and other adjoining areas took to the streets to mourn the death of a local militant, Altaf Baba @ Gazi Baba of Aglar Pakherpora in a gunfight yesterday. Shops and business establishments are closed in Pulwama. Police used Ariel firing at Rajpora Chowk & Chata Pora Pulwama. Protesters attacked a Rakshak vehicle following which policemen lobbed teargas shells and resorted to cane charge to disperse the protesters. Meanwhile one more militant lost his life in the encounter this morning. He has been identified as Mohammad Abbas Nengroo of Hanjan.
