Hunt Test Humor.... a friend was running his dog (amateur) for the first time at a test. He was well coached as to what to expect and do. He thought he would be up for anything that happened. Dogs are unpredictable and he found that out quickly....LOL. Dog very steady to line.... waited until sent. Zeroed in on his mark and ran a straight line. Clean pick up and started to return. Stopped 1/2 way back, looked at ground, looked at friend, then at ground. Dropped bird and picked something up and returned that object.... a new shiny Bumper....LOL My Friend said the Good Part of the day was he got to Keep the Bumper :) He said you really have to have a sense of humor when involving dogs. My Charles said that is the right attitude... the enjoyment of the day spend together is paramount, everything else is added frosting ;) Oh Charlie asked him if he would hang that Bumper of the Wall....LOL The reply was "Hang, for what I spent in Gas and training, and fees, I should have it Bronzed.
