Hypothetical actions to hypothetical situations are seldom the same as their real counter parts For example before I was a father I would often say that "Spanking" your child was a legitimate tool to teach them right from wrong . This was an uninformed childish opinion based on my internal anger . The fact is I could never hurt my son & the idea that violence , which is exactly what hitting your child is , will teach him anything more then that aggression is a reasonable response to adversity is absurd . I will listen to my son I will be patient for him Because I love him & I want to teach him a better way
