I-64 IN SHELBY COUNTY - Motorists can expect traffic delays during the overnight hours next week on I-64. Contract crews will be setting bridge beams at the KY 55 overpass (Exit 32) as part of the I-64 widening project. To accommodate this work, crews will need to use rolling road blocks that will slow and possibly stop traffic for approximately 15 minutes at intervals throughout the evening. Traffic on both eastbound and westbound I-64 will be affected on Monday, August 12. Rolling road blocks will only be used in the eastbound lanes on Tuesday, August 13. This work will take place from 10:00 p.m. each evening until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. Lane closures will also be necessary on KY 55 at the bridge over I-64 each evening. Motorists should watch for construction staff that will use flagging methods to direct them through the work zone.
