I AM MARRIED TO LEAH BUT MY HEART IS WITH RACHAEL. It is a proven fact that marriage does not provide the happiness most people seek. Many of the problems that young people have are related to finding husbands or wives and keeping them. In our world today,a large percentage of the problems people face is related to this. Marriage,although celebrated in grand style is actually described as a kind of curse in the book of Genesis,especially for women. ...and thy desire shall be to thy husband,and he shall rule over thee. Genesis 3:16. Women are to be dominated and ruled over by their husbands. In some situations, they have no options except two;divorce or a life of misery. That is actually a kind of curse,and has unleashed on women frustrations and devastations. Even the most independnt women come to the place where they want a man to rule over them. Older women,who are unable to give birth anymore,still want to be married. As they get married,the pressure continues. Some women lose their health during pregnancy and others lose their beauty. Some die through pregnancy while others permanently lose their attractiveness or even their husbands. Most husbands tend to hate their wives during pregnancy. What brings about this unkindness of men? Why do most people get married and become frustrated? These are questions that have brought age-old discontents and frustrations among many. Generally speaking,men are stronger and domineering than women. Most men do not treat women kindly. Their wickedness is often caused by their failure to find happiness in the marriage. In their depression,they got married with the thought of finding happiness in the marriage. When they couldnt find,they turned to be the last nail on the coffin. Yes,its not good for man to be alone,yet most married couples still feel lonely and unfulfilled. Truth is that you dont walk into marriage to find happiness. You carry happiness into marriage. And you dont get married because you are frustrated,even if you do,you will still be. I say this because I am a pastor and as a pastor I know that many couples live a life of constant quarrelling and unhappiness. Many women are married to men who mistreat them,mishandle them,and are unfaithful to them. It looks as if there is no way forward in their situation. And like I said before,they often have no options except two;divorce or a life of misery. On the other hand,many men who desired to marry,end up in a regrettable state like Jacoh where they lament I am married to Leah but my heart is with Rachael. This explains the reason for extra-marital affairs. What can be done about these intractable realities? Is there a way forward? This is why I strongly stress the point that christian women should be very spiritual when it comes to marriage,and stop being given to feelings and false appearances of men. Most brothers in church who look like Prince Charming could be very harming. Do not be carried away by their prestigious lifestyles,big shot behavious,and affluence.And as a man,resort to Gods wisdom and the advice of the elderly when deciding on whom to marry. Ask questions. Most sisters who look like sweet hearts could make hearts bitter. Do not end up in extra-marital affairs. It is a dangerous route.
