I AM, holding on to you, in the middle of the storm, I am, holding on the You! Let us draw near with true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22 V. 22 (Hebrews 4:16. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.) Confident access to God is a priestly privilege reserved for those who have been purified from sins pollution by Jesus sacrifice (7:19;10:19,22), and so can offer sacrifices of thanksgiving pleasing to God (12:28, 13:15,16). On the priestly privileges of Christian believers see Romans 5:1,2; Ephesians 2:13-22; 1 Peter 2:4-10. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double - minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:8-10. V. 9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. This is a call to genuine repentance by which we mourn for our sins.
