“I Am Yet To Receive A Writ” …Ellen Corkrum Reveals The Woman in the center of the controversial RIA Economic Sabotage scandal, Ellen Corkrum, says she is yet to receive an official writ from the Government of Liberia indicting her for economic sabotage and other offenses. “What you are talking, I only heard it through the media”, Madam Corkrum told the live radio interactive talk show on the famous Bumper program on ELBC. According to Madam Corkrum, she was saddened to hear such a pronouncement that tends to damage her character that she has fought for over the years. Madam Corkrum, who could not tell the host of the show as to whether she could honor the indictment by returning to Liberia to face trial, says she is committed to helping her country and as such, reports of her indictment, have positioned her to be respectful in all that she did why in Liberia. The controversial Ellen Corkrum, who spoke with confidence while being examined by the presenters, warned that she could not comment on reports that are being circulated in the media. “I have done no wrong to deserve this blackmail”, Madam Corkrum told the Radio presenter. She said that as far as she was concerned, her transaction at the Roberts International Airport was done in confirmation with the procedures governing the entity. Despite these interactions, Corkrum failed to tell the talk show host as to whether she would return to Liberia to face trial. Also speaking via mobile phone from the United States was one of the indictees, Mr. Melvin Johnson, believed to be the boyfriend to Madam Corkrum says he has committed no wrong and indicated that he is a law abiding citizen who respected laws of all countries, including Liberia. The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Justice last week indicted Madam Corkrum and several other persons for their alleged role in the financial syndicate at the Roberts International Airport. Madam Ellen Corkrum and Mr. Musa Bility are the two government officials in the center of the indictment. They were indicted by the Government of Liberia for economic sabotage and other offenses.
