I, Emily Ada- nna Orji was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts in the United States of America. My father Emmanuel is from Nigeria and my mother Ivena is from Montserrat. I grew up in the Church - Friendship Apostolic Church in Dorchester Massachusetts. At a tender age of three, I joined the choir and has been singing with them ever since.At the urging of my childhood friends mother - Jewel Cash, I decided to audition for a spot at the Boston Arts Academy High school in the Fenway in Boston. I was successful and got accepted as a voice major. Upon graduating from the Boston Arts Academy I decided to pursue a degree in Music education. I auditioned and was admitted to Berklee College of music in Boston. After three years at Berklee, I decided to take an Academic sabbatical . Since my break from Berklee, I have been writing, recording, performing and publishing my music. My writing style and concentration on Gospel songs has taken a life of its own, it has matured and is attracting both young and old audiences. I recently performed at a sold-out concert in Boston on August 10th 2013. You Cant Bring Me Down is my debut album. It is a fantastic effort on my part.
