I FINALLY found Elvis: Thats The Way It Is on bluray. The 2001 version of the film itself looks awesome, but the songs that were in the 1970 original version but committed from the 2001 version were supposed to be in the special features section all cleaned up. Well that was a complete crock of shit. Im upset about it really. I mean I have bootlegs that look and sound better than that. The video footage doesnt look as good as the 1970 DVD version and the audio is mono and running too fast as well. Theres just no excuse for it really. I might as well have just stuck with the DVD that was released in 2007. I also got Viva Las Vegas. Since it is uan older film I see the quality difference more on bluray, but if you have a bluray player that upconverts DVDs, the quality difference is negligible on the special edition 2001 version of Thats The Way It Is. I was REALLY looking forward to I Just Cant Help Believin, Sweet Caroline, Ive Lost You and Bridge Over Troubled Water given the royal treatment. They were better quality in 2001 on Turner Classic Movies after the special edition of the film premiered. My old VHS tape I gave away long ago looked better on those four songs. That makes no sense.
