She lost and ran off crying after she could not play final Jeopardy. Her idiot mother complained to the parent company Sony saying Alex was insensitive. His exact words were We have bad news for you, because youre in the negative situation, it means you wont be around for Final Jeopardy, but youll automatically pick up $1000 for a third place finish. I dont see the insensitivity in his statement. Perhaps it is insensitive to allow your sore loser kid to play a game on national TV without acceptance or knowledge of the rules. This is what happens when everybody gets a participation trophy and the Im proud of every student at ___________ elementary school bumper sticker. Earn what you get. Sometimes, we lose. Sometimes we arent the best. I entered West Indian Gherkins that I grew in the Virginia State Fair category All other vegetables. I got a 7th place ribbon. Customarily, only six ribbons are awarded. It was the first 7th place ribbon awarded. I didnt cry that I didnt get a major award. I was happy that I got anything. If I am a 11 year old that gets a grand for playing a game, Id be damn happy.
