I HATE CANCER ( this is a long post, but something worth your time) Do you hate Cancer? If you do, what steps have you taken to help rid our world of this terrible disease? Here is a little know fact. Almost 100% of all donors to American Cancer Society, have either had cancer, of have a family member or friend who have or have had Cancer. You have to admire all those ladies out there walking for Sunsan G Komen for Breast Cancer. But how many walks have you seen with men walking for the benefit of Prostate Cancer? For colon, lung, skin, pancreatic, and only God knows what kind of other Cancer we are all subject to having. Sadly I am guilty of not supporting American Cancer Society until a person, I love and Deeply care for was struck with Cancer. My wife of almost 50 years, almost 11 years ago had her first Cancer, then just a few years later was struck again. Two cancers, two operations and treatments, and I am involved with American Cancer Society. Why, because if it were not for then diagnosis and treatment research paid for American Cancer Society, my wife would not be here today. This coming February she will be Cancer free 11 years. A couple of years ago, I began working with Ernie Johnson Memorial Fundraiser. Most of you know Ernie Johnson from him being the voice of the Atlanta Braves. I was fortunate enough to be Ernies neighbor. Unfortunately almost three years ago Ernie ( the kindest man I ever met ) passed away with Cancer. His beautiful wife Louis ( the kindest Lady I have ever met) started the Ernie Johnson memorial Golf Tournament. The next year we added The Redneck Bash, with Jeff Foxworthy. Last year with the golf tournament and the Redneck Bash, we were able to send a check to American Cancer Society a check for $60,000. At the beginning of this year American Cancer Society ask us to move into Distinguished Events. Now comes my reason for this long post. I am personally inviting you, if you play Golf, male or female, to come play in the Ernie Johnson Memorial Golf tournament on October 27th. At Polo a Golf and Country Club, in Cumming. This course has been renewed, with millions of $s of upgrades and renovations, it is beautiful. Rub elbows with such Braves stars as Phil Neikro, and many more celebrities who are signing up everyday, last year Bobby Cox, John Smoltz and many others we expect to be there again this year. So I am asking you to please click on the link below and come, have fun playing Golf, and at the same time raise money for American Cancer Society. I will be there checking you in for the tournament, come by and see me at Check in. Dont forget to register by clicking on the link below. Spots are going fast! Next we have the Redneck Bash with Jeff Foxworty, on November 2nd at the Lanier Conference center. You dont want to miss this! This is a full entertainment evening, with music, and entertainment, plus a wonderful southern full course meal. Last year this sold out to standing room only about 5 days before the show, so click on the link below and sign up now! Like last year I will be emcee, as well as sound and video engineer, so come to the side of the stage and see me! To all of my friends and business associates who have already committed to be a sponsor for these two events. I want to thank you from the very bottom of my heart for your kind contribution to the fight for a cure of this deadly disease. God Bless! Terry Spain erniejohnsongolf.org
