I Have been writing to Steven Joyce about this issue for months and he studiously ignores me I get stock answers from the Government server like the following that mean and say Nothing. This is my Original Email to him; Dear Sir, Further to my previous emails and what I feel were unsatisfactory replies, please consider the latest information regarding Radioactive Vehicles and food stuffs being refused entry into Russia. You have given me cursory information as to the checks being carried out by MPI previously, please forward me details of the firms contracted to carry out Radiation Testing on Vehicles and food being imported into New Zealand and the methodology and equipment being used to carry out this testing. Kind regards from A dedicated National Party Supporter and concerned parent and grandparent. Kevin Hester JOYCEs Reply; Dear correspondent On behalf of Hon Steven Joyce thank you for your email. While the Minister considers all correspondence to be important and all messages are carefully read and considered, it is not possible to provide a personal response to every email which is received. Where the Minister has portfolio responsibility for the issues that you have raised, your correspondence will be considered and responded to where appropriate. Regards on behalf of Hon Steven Joyce Minister for Economic Development Minister of Science and Innovation Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment Associate Minister of Finance Here in NZ we import New and Secondhand Cars from Japan. My concern has always been focused on the second hand cars being contaminated with radiation from Fukushima Daiichi, However this has transpired. The Fukushima nuclear crisis has sent the motor industry into turmoil. Officials say all Japanese vehicles are thoroughly checked for radiation before shipment, but reports suggest that contaminated cars could still find their way into the market. In Chile, a small number of cars out of a shipment of 2,500 Japanese cars was found to be contaminated with a low level of radiation, but they did not disclose what that radiation level was. ^^ These are NEW Cars they are talking about!!! how bad could the second hand ones be?? Think about the aircleaners and Tires??? The EU raised the amount of radiation by 300%, which is now deemed to be safe in imported cars and other items coming from Japan. youtu.be/a9I4foG6HeA There are three short Video Clips in this link showing whats going on behind the scenes and under our Butts!
