I John 3:4-6 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Father, we spoke last week about Jesus being the light of the World. Through His Word He illumines us! Your Word illumines us to sin our lives- gives us light to guide our way and gives us light to guide others! Your Word also shows us discernment. It is easy to walk along in our lives and be status quo with our brothers and sisters and ourselves. Your word tells us that if we follow you, if we claim to be yours we must be doing acts of righteousness. In our generation and time- we must be transparent- we must have no hidden agendas. If we claim to be yours and yet the laws of your Word do not apply to us we are walking in lawlessness and sin! We walk by your Spirit, yes, but the Spirit writes the Word of God in our hearts that it might become a part of our entire being- consuming us with holiness in you. Not giving us license to do whatever we desire. Help us to walk in holiness today- May the light of your Spirit and word-illumine us today! Amen!
