I John 4:9-11 True honor is the practice of two powerful people putting one another before themselves, empowering one another, working together to meet one anothers needs, and adjusting as necessary in order to move together toward the shared goals of the relationship. Honor is also the practice of calling out the best in one another. This can be expressed both in words of praise--You are amazing!--and in words of correction--Hey, you are way too awesome to be acting like that! Remember who you are and stop it. Honor allows you to keep high levels of value for and faith in people, even when they demonstrate how different from you they are (which can be scary) adn when they make mistakes (which can also be scary). What is the greatest adjustment youve made in order to move toward someone in your life? Has someone ever honored you by confronting you in an area where you are acting beneath yourself? How did you respond? Is it hard to maintain respect for people when they scare you or fail in some way? If so, ask God to show you His value for others so you can carry a heart of honor no matter what others do. Relationships are tough and can be even more difficult when you fail to love, honor and respect the one youre with. Honor involves you being able to put the thoughts, needs, and feelings of others before yourself. Its making sacrifices for the betterment of your relationship, and its loving beyond measure. Honor your loved one today. Go beyond the call of duty and make it right. Have a blessed day on purpose. Good morning, folks.
