I LIKE THIS! Cuban citizen is represented at their National Assembly. Their form of democracy, where people first vote for candidates they know, from their neighbourhood, instead of some distant millionaire who can buy all the advertising time he wants and lie on the media. Voters know first-hand if the candidate they choose can be trusted. Representatives then meet and discuss issues at the township level, to elect whomever they think would best represent the townships interests at the next level. The same process is then carried out at the regional, then the provincial and finally the national level. This «indirect » way of choosing the ultimate representatives is much less prone to manipulation by the rich and powerful. It also permits issues to be debated at every administrative level and solutions to be gradually elaborated for the national assembly. This is much more democratic than the US 2 party system, where historically it has always been the party with the most money who wins.
