I LOVE THE ENTHUSIASM BEHIND THE ALS COLD WATER BUCKET CHALLENGE AND THE AMOUNT OF MONEY BEING RAISED IS AWESOME !!! So what I am about to say I hope comes across lovingly and not take anything away from the ALS fundraising. I have been living with FIBROMYALGIA for 8 years for those of you that may not know this. The reason I am writing this is to ask a favor for all those suffering with this painful daily illness FMS. Please DO NOT ASK A FMS SUFFERER TO DO THIS ICE COLD WATER CHALLENGE. I know I have been on edge about being called out because I would have to say no to this challenge and I dont have a extra $100 laying around to give. For a FMS sufferer this would feel like we fell in to a ice cold pond and possibly trigger a bad Fibro Flare-up, the nerves a person feels after this challenge would go away fairly quick but not for a Fibro sufferer. The pain will last days if not weeks. I am not saying to rule all of the FMS population out I just ask that you consider if the person you call out could be dealing with health issues preventing them from doing this challenge. We already feel like failures and feel like we let down our family and friends daily, we dont need this guilt of turning down the challenge to help fight a awful illness like ALS. Just asking for some judgement about who you choose. Thank You, BETH
