I MADE A LITTLE PHOTO COLLAGE FOR YOU ALL! Here I am on Mount Wellington in Hobart being ripped apart by the wind, posing in Rome Italy, having my strange little face held by Hugo, Jack the Beagle dog who I now cannot live without! And my dear eccentric adorable Edward, my 12 year old son! The love of my life, the force that keeps me going and the force that also makes me sob in the bathroom. There are so many new rules that the teen years bring! I am NOT permitted to enter the school grounds, I am NOT permitted to sing out loud, NOT permitted to talk wildly or speak in a candid wild girl way. I cannot interrupt Family Guy, I am not permitted to ask more than 2 questions after school, I am under surveillance the entire time and FORGET about asking about homework!! Apparently there is NEVER any homework and HOW DARE I ask this ludicrious question when he just wants to CHILL after school! And the irony of course is that we see ourselves in the way we treated our parents repeating the same old patterns, trying the same old tricks that never worked. And yet we still adore them even though we see the boredom of us pass through our children like sands through the hour glass! These, my loves, are The Days of Our Lives! I can hear my mums voice now screaming at me.. Oh MY GOD ALANNAH! What have I raised? God give me the STRENGTH to keep going as you are a little DEMON child! You WAIT until your father gets home! You JUST WAIT GIRL! HE WILL belt your bum black and blue you bad BAD BAD girl!! My Love to all the parents with Teens! What the HELL are we going to DO????
