I Support Delhi High Court to consider the appointment of next Imam of Jama Masjid as illegal. The SHAHI Imam (Syed Ahmed Bukhari), who is believed to call himself as the leader of all Indian Muslims, has given Islam and particularly Indian Muslims, such a bad name by 1) Showing anti-national behavior by Inviting Nawaz Sharif and has granted greater importance to PM of Pakistan than our own PM and Country. I believe it is office of the PM not Narendra Modi which was insulted and Humiliated, it is about the insult of Indians. 2) Showing dictatorship in selecting his son as the next Imam even though he is not the owner of the Mosque but merely a salaried employee of the wakf board. As per Islam and Constitution of India, No public title is valid which is given to a person or to his ancestors by any Emperor (Shahjahan), king or his own Father. Jama Masjid is a property of Delhi wakf board, not a personal property of Syed Ahmed Bukhari where he appoints his son as heir to be the next Imam. It is an Indo-Islamic monument which was built by resources including Indian labour, Funds and Taxes collected from people of all religions. Moreover, it is purely anti-Islamic to hold coronation ceremony for any post rather than to appoint through fair selection process. His Son has no superiority over many pious Muslims scholars, Yet 19 year’s old guy irrespective of his character with minimal Islamic knowledge has been put on top of them just because he is descendant of 1st Imam of the mosque. Islam teaches in election through consultation (Democracy) instead of selection by force (Dictatorship). Anyone can become Imam of Jama Masjid not only through dynastic appointment, Islam propagate equality and does not believe in discrimination on the basis of birth, family, nation, caste and creed. The so called doctrine of same bloodline with deep seated pride in one’s family has groped Indian Muslims into darkness & Ignorance which has resulted into disunity. Mr. Bukhari: India is a democratic country, such process of anointment should be abolished. Stop calling yourself a representative of all Muslims, dissociate yourself from politics, forget about ancestral pride and please work towards social unity and prosperity.
