The aim of this event is to build upon the momentum of our July gathering. As you may remember, our first information event was to help facilitate and secure funding for newly established WOFEs (wholly owned foreign enterprises) in Nanjing. We welcome any and all people interested: newly started WOFEs, those interested in learning about how to start a WOFE, as well as anyone interested in being a part of the up and coming business scene in Nanjing. Our main event on September 18th will be a dinner and presentation. Our presenter is Jeffery Wang, a well-established Nanjing attorney with a wealth of experience both in China and abroad. He will be discussing common legal procedures and issues facing foreign entrepreneurs who wish to start businesses here in Nanjing. Prior to Mr. Wang’s presentation, there will be a barbecue dinner and drinks and time to network with other attendees. The event will be held at Always Sports Bar, which is located just off Shanghai Road not far from Wutaishan Stadium (The exact address is 4 Nan Dong Gua Shi in Gulou District, 南东瓜市4号,靠近合群新村和上海路的路口). The closest subway station in Zhu Jiang Lu and our staff will provide detailed directions in both English and Chinese to all attendees who register. The day can also include an optional guided tour of one of three elements of the Gulou District in Nanjing. Choices include a tour of either one of Gulou’s industrial zones, a high tech zone, or an historical and cultural tour of the district. These tours will last from 13:00 – 17:00. All tours are sponsored by the government of Gulou District and will include several Taiwanese business owners and real estate companies, and other investors. Investors for anyone interested in these tours please indicate so in your response and staff will provide you with additional details. We hope to see you on the 18th!
