I WANT TO OPEN A CHURCH: In Nigeria it is easier to open a Church than it is to open a Bank Account in any of the banks. The banks will require a passport photograph, signature and funny enough a NEPA bill or is it PHCN. But to open a Church, one needs to have been out of job for years, to be a fast talker and the ability to convince or confuse people. Then you are called or anointed. There is no law baring people from answering any names. On being called, one can decide to be called Bishop, Prophet Pastor, Reverend etc. The dress can be anything near that of a masquerade or near those of our present Traditional rulers. It is very easy to draw crowds provided they are promised the almost impossible like visa to UK, USA etc even without the basic education and even with forged credentials. The most baffling thing is that many well educated ones fall victims to these Men of God. Can you imagine people in their thousands patronizing Churches with these funny names. In this country, the Police are referred to as trigger happy because they shoot with or without the slightest provocation. Do you know there is a Trigger Happy Ministry whose motto is Always Firing The Devil. There are others with other funny names like Sharp Sharp Ministry, David Killed Goliath, Other Peoples Money (OPM), My Brother Is A Christian, High Tension, Go And Tell Ehab That Elijah Is Here, Fire Burn, Healing Has Begun, Face To Face, Jesus The Landlord, We The Relaxing Pew, Jesus Knows His Children and many more. I am trying to found a Ministry. Please help me with an appropriate name and join the crowd. Definitely it cant be Under-17. Think of something like Over-70 Super Eagles.
