I WISHED YOU WERE HERE *CHAPTER 19 The same week I got back from vaal I had spoken to my friend from durban, Sthokozile, and she offered me an offer I couldnt refuse, which was to come and stay in durban till I found my feet, and I agreed with no hesitation. I thought this was my break to start afresh and maybe my mum will miss me and try make means to make it right, after all absence makes the heart grow fonder. I now had to tell Palesa my plans and hoped this time she would see them and agree. Babe, I might go and stay in durban, my friend gave me an offer I couldnt refuse. Oh, how long? I dont know, but if I do go I doubt I will come back to jozi till next year or till Ive healed from everything hmmm come with me, once Ive settled we can move in together I will think about it, but if you feel it will help then you can go I couldnt figure out why I am still with Palesa, why I still hold on to so much and yet Ive lost all the pieces to my heart. My sisters call asking me to do their hair, I agreed and figured this will be my last time seeing them and it will be an excuse to say good bye to them indirectly, (no one knew of my plan besides Vee and Palesa). Indeed my sisters came that weekend and to my astonishment they both had branded new iphones, I wondered what a 13 and 15 year old are doing with such phones, but never questioned my mothers motives. He says You have turned against God and cause of that you will suffer through life as a punishment I looked at my mum and kept wondering whether those words were from the Bishop or her. I dont know, if you want to then do it I tell her with irritation. I finish doing both their hair, and they talk about passing by Mc Donalds before they go home, I was amazed that my mum didnt bother to ask if theres anything in the fridge but yet can do so much for my sisters. I bid them farewell and went straight to bed.
