I Write Like is one of those writing analysis sites where you submit some sample text, and it tells you what famous author your style emulates. I submitted four samples, and it believes that my fantasy novel is written like J. D. Salinger, my rollicking furries-in-space adventure is like James Joyce, a similar but more-serious short story is like Arthur Clarke, and my first-contact SF novel is like David Foster Wallace. I initially thought this was evidence of randomness in the assignments, but I tried again with different selections from some of the same pieces and got consistent results. At least Im in good company and dont write like Dan Brown or Stephenie Meyer. Personally, I think I write like me.
