I agree that people should be home with families on Thanksgiving, but restaurants have been opened for years and no one has taken any harsh words out on them. Stores are open, and most employees are given scheduled at least two weeks in advance so that plans can be made to make that family time. I guess it just depends on how much the person really wants family time. I used to have to work on Thanksgiving, which meant that my girls went to Indiana with their dad. I hated to give up that visiting time, but didnt want to punish the girls by not letting them have their time. I guess I will have to agree to disagree on this subject. Im thankful that I have a job that I get to have it off... Even more so, I am thankful that I have a job.
