I almost made it through sportscenter lastnight without dropping a tear, but I just couldnt do it. As a hardcore sports fan and longtime veiwer of the ESPN network, Im still deeply saddened by the passing of Stuart Scott. He was an undeniable innovator and trailblazer in broadcasting. He single-handedly brought style, swag, and creativity to a white collar profession, while also making it relatable and entertaining to the urban communities. He made it possible for young black kids and professionals to pursue their dreams in a field previously unthought of, and he did it his way. Uncompromising. From what I hear he made an absolute impact on everyone he crossed paths with and was an amazing man, father, and friend. I cant help but replay his poignant ESPYs speech this past year, and remember him as that pillar of strength and hope. Thank you Mr. Scott for all you did. You will forever be missed, and you were truly cooler than the other side of the pillow. BOO-YOW!!! When you die, you dont lose to cancer. You beat cancer by the way you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live. -Stuart Scott
