I also am thinking of getting a new Nikon and would like your thoughts. My D90 is not working up to spec anymore. Its shot about 60,000 images and has been well-used, but now jams periodically. I was looking at getting a full-frame camera, but was advised that the D610 would not shoot what I need. I tend to capture things that move - mostly wildlife, birds, and dogs; but also shoot sports (soccer). I also tend to shoot in the late afternoon. I guess Im a pro shooter-just am not making much of a living at it yet. (grin) My local camera store recommended the D7100 instead of the D610. (Also citing that the lenses would be cheaper.) The D810 looks inviting and would meet my needs; but its a tad expensive. (BTW, my prime lens is a Sigma 50-500mm.) Any thoughts on the 3 cameras Im considering?
