I always have some mixed feelings during the holidays. Yesterday while shopping for a few things we passed in front a Ross store and there was a lady dressed up nicely walking by with a poster and a picture of a boy. She asked me for a donation to help pay bury her son. Obviously this would tug at anyones heart. I gave her $5 but then something kicks in. Was this really true or was it a way to capitalize on the holiday giving spirit? Later that evening I happened to pop into a Big Lots store looking for a specific item and ironically, there is this lady shopping! I know times are tough for many and this may simply be her way to make ends meet but its this type of action that always seems to spoil the holiday for me. Thoughts?
