I always try to be extraordinarily nice and considerate of children and OUR ELDERLY. Sometimes it is costly or at the very least, inconvenient. A few weeks ago, I was headed to D.C. when I stopped by a Golden Corral at a truck stop. Having just paid for my gas, I was looking down at my change, when I glanced up and saw 3 elderly ladies coming towards the door that I was about to exit. Being the gentleman I am, I waited and held the door open for these three ladies, even though it took them FOREVER to get to the door. In the meantime, I looked back down and started reading something on my cellphone. Then, I looked back up to see what POSSIBLY (other than AGE) could be taking them SO LONG. Much to my surprise, I discovered that the 3 elder ladies, were just the LEAD GROUP of 2 BUS LOADS of elderly women, and THESE LADIES WERE THE FASTEST and MOST MOBILE OF THE GROUP! So, THERE I WAS, holding the DOOR for the next 30 plus minutes while they UNLOADED their buses, that had parked at the other end of the parking lot and left about 60 elderly ladies to move slowly, but WELL PACED, across the parking lot towards THE DOORMAN....ME! WTF! Yet, each THANK YOU OR THANK YOU YOUNG MAN was greeted or responded to with a YOURE WELCOME....(remind me to PAY ATTENTION to my surroundings). There should be a LIMIT on the number of older people any ONE BUS CAN CARRY...Im just saying....
