I am 3 weeks 2 days past my first surgery. I was hoping to be able to do more by now. I am taking it very easy and still on my pain meds every 4 to 6 hours. It just seems like I can think a bit clearer, but I am still in pain. The best description I have is it feels like I have a 10 pd weight on my side and it is constantly pulling down. Once the medicine wears off it gets very uncomfortable and hard to breathe. So I continue with the medicine and hope for more healing every day. The biggest blessings I have received are just the love and kindness I am receiving from friends and family. Friends I have had for a long time but havent seen in a while. Friends who I see a lot and are always checking to see what I need. Then the friends that just know what I need and show up when I need it. The meals have also been such a huge help.... I had no idea how wonderful that would be for my family, Shon has mentioned many times how thankful he is for them!!! I have my heart surgery date. It will be September 17. I will be 7 weeks out from my kidney surgery so I should be feeling much better by then and good to go! I will see dr. Lamprose on the 11th and have a much clearer picture of exactly what will be happening. I am starting to have some anxiety about this next surgery so I am requesting good thoughts and positive prayer for peace for me in this area! It would be amazing if I could go into this next operation with as much peace as I did the first one! Enjoy the last few days of summer! It has gone by fast and hopefully you have found some fun on these beautiful sunny days! I know I have!!! :)
