I am 40 days clean and sober today. I just completed a 30 day intensive outpatient treatment program. After several chances and promises of quitting pain pills, I lost my wife who wont speak to me or let me see the kids, I am sleeping on a couch at a friends house and everyone at my job knows I am an addict. I pray everyday that things will get better but sometimes I get so discouraged that my life will stay this way and I will never be able to be with my family again. The holidays are coming and it just makes me so sad.
