I am 68 years old at the moment and I am wondering if a one bedroomed flat in sheltered housing would be ok for me or not. At the moment I live in an above average sized two bedroomed bungalow on the edge of Hucknall that is probably worth approx. £160,000. If I sell this I can pocket the money and will be able to live nearer to the centre of town and have more amenities available. My doctors, chemist and all shops in Hucknall would be much nearer. Also nearer to tram station for Nottingham. Using this money plus my pensions I would be able to continue cruising, which I love for many more years. I have no children of my own and no immediate family excepting for cousins to leave my bungalow to when I die. Using this money wisely I could pay for my care for many years and have a good time. I was just wondering if any of my facebook friends had any experience of sheltered housing so they can maybe pass this on to me. Thank you.
