I am AMAZED by the indifference by my friends & co-workers in regards to my Autism fundraising efforts over the last 2 years! Sympathy & Empathy are one thing, but Ive found that unless it effects you personally, no one really cares. I am just as guilty as everyone else. Do you know that 25% or more of every person you know is effected by Autism? Siblings, Cousins, Friends, the CDC just released a statement that 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism this last year alone!! That is more than Cancer, Small Pox, Meningitis and Vehicular Accidents COMBINED!!! Do me a favor, if you have a child, niece, nephew, grandchild, go to Home Depot or wherever, buy some Blue light bulbs and #LightItUpBlue tomorrow for my Bubby & EVERY OTHER person you know that may be effected by Autism. This is a Worldwide Epidemic and we need more awareness and involvement NOW!! #LIUB
