I am Lexa, an 8 year old lady. I am a Thai street dog and I have been suffering for some time. I know my skin doesn’t look very good right now but I hope you can see by my face the beautiful dog I once was. I came to the shelter after Soi Dog received a call from a local person who was worried about me. Animal Rescue Officer Khun Jaroon raced to pick me up and took me back to the shelter, where the vets examined me. I heard them say I had so many problems. I was suffering from demodex, a horrible form of mange. I also had a fungal skin infection and discharge from one of my eyes. I had lost almost all of my fur. The vets have said it will take me some time to get better but they are doing their best to get me there. I am finally getting the treatment I have needed for so long. I am a shy dog and I am not a big fan of cuddles right now. I don’t understand them; nobody has ever wanted to touch me before. Khun Jaroon told me he was only able to pick me up and get me to the shelter because of the Emergency Response Team. I have not met many kind people until now but he says these people are the best. Their monthly donations to Soi Dog are what got me here and now I am safe. There are many other dogs like me still out there. They need your help.
