I am NOT surprised by the Grand Jury decision, but for a different - TopicsExpress

I am NOT surprised by the Grand Jury decision, but for a different reason than most. I didnt react with emotion, but with intellect, and I was hungry for the actual evidence. I publicly debated this on Fox 13 News at Ten, twice, once before the autopsy evidence was out, and once last week before the decision this week. I said at the first, that if the initial eyewitness accounts on the news and social media were accurate; that this was a gentle giant minding his own business shot in the back while fleeing from an aggressive cop with his hands up, that the cop should be indicted for murder. But LET US WAIT for the evidence I said! Then the autopsy came out, NO SHOTS IN THE BACK! I immediately knew that somebody was exaggerating/distorting! Then the marijuana in his system. Couple that with the strong armed robbery of the store for the cigars, yes likely for smoking more marijuana. The aggressive, menacing young man in the store footage was evidence contradicting the stories of the gentle giant. Then the physical evidence of blood inside the squad car proved the officers version of events that an altercation with Michael Brown did take place while the officer was sitting in his car. Somehow the initial witnesses left that part out. Hmmmmm. This was the straw that broke the camels back. There was NO WAY there would be an indictment here on murder given the evidence, devoid from the emotion. That being said, it is a tragedy that Michael Brown is dead. But the evidence does not prove that the cop murdered Michael Brown. The Grand Jury decision was easy to predict if you followed the evidence devoid of emotion, as I predicted just last week, NO INDICTMENT. Now lets heal, and move on. There are PLENTY of examples of police abusing their power, shooting innocent folks white and black, and they ALL should be punished. But this IS NOT one of those cases! When you fight with a cop who has a gun, regardless of your reasoning, its not going to end well. And rioting about the decision aint helping to persuade anyone to empathize with our cause. Stop looting, shooting, and freebooting. Start weighing the evidence, be calm, and make smart decisions. #BeWiseNotFoolish
