I am SOOO happy my Mom & Dad are here in Dallas to stay with me for the week and we are having such a wonderful time together! My Dad said my house is like a luxury old folks home, so Im not quite sure how to take that... Meanwhile, we hung lots of pictures, worked around the house, cooked on the grill, went to the lake, facetimed Ethan & Addison (which left ALL 4 people in tears - including my Dad because he misses his kids) LOL Too cute! So this week we are all chillin and enjoying time together. Happy Easter. Its good to be with family. As I approach 30 I see my parents so differently. I cannot believe how much they have sacrificed. Parenting is an incredibly selfless act. Im not a parent, though I love E & Addy I cant imagine what an actual parent goes through. To give of yourself, sacrifice everything for another, thats what parents do. They arent perfect - no family is. We all grow with one another. It brings me so much happiness to do fun things with them and have them here. Im primarily looking forward to going fishing with my Dad and taking my Mom to the spa. Theyre like having good friends over. These are the memories we make. And this is really what life is all about.
