I am a 27 year old woman who was born and raised in Gladwyne. I grew up going to the public schools, belonging to Har Zion Temple, and being very involved in the community. I worked as a professional infant nanny in the Main Line area for almost ten years before moving into the city of Philadelphia. In early September 2013, I almost lost my life. I fell 22 ft through the roof while watering the plants on my roof deck. I woke up in the ICU and was told I should have died. Once home and trying to survive with a traumatic brain injury, I needed a reason to get out of bed. Since I couldnt go back to nannying, I had to find a way to continue my passion. I started to help babies in need. First on a SEPTA bus while coming home from PT and then my idea turned into such a success that I can proudly say Ive helped 65+ babies in the past six months. My charitable organization is called Philadelphias Family To Family. We provide the basic baby essentials to low income families in need in the Greater Philadelphia area. Thanks to corporate law firm, Im getting pro bono assistance to turn the organization into a 501c3 nonprofit which will hopefully happen in 2014. As a community, I would love to see some familiar faces and have the support from those of you who are also from the Main Line. Growing up in Gladwyne was a blessing and I am so thankful that my parents were able to give my sisters and I the chance to get a great education and be in a community that you cant compare to anything else. I can only hope that I will be able to move back to the Main Line and raise my own family there one day. If you have any baby items to donate, you can contact me through my page or you can email me at phillyfamilytofamily@gmail If you know a family in need, you can pass on my information or you can contact me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. facebook/phillyfamily2family
