I am a HUGE proponent of religion, but something struck me while in California that I want to get opinions and maybe answers on. Property is EXPENSIVE out here. Church is SUPPOSED to be about charity. I am seeing new churches worth 10s of MILLIONS of dollars popping up all over. If religion is truly about charity, wouldnt a more modest building worth less and the left over cash donated from believers used for charitable causes be a better way to serve God? Just a question. Again, I am a man of faith but this kind of made me cringe.
