I am a creator. If I am not creating something through painting, art, writing or music, I become despondent and gloomy. My world flattens to a 2-dimensional space where everything turns grey. Beauty, in every sense of the word, is extremely subjective, but in the eye of the beholder––when beauty is discovered––a person can experience that feeling of transcendence down to the depths of their own souls. I have felt it myself when staring at a painting, reading a novel or listening to music. I can truly disappear and become one with everything. As long as I am creating, I am living to my utmost potential. I can feel time stand still and the universes heartbeat underneath my fingertips, even as I write these very words … because I am creating. If you stop and gaze at the starry sky to ponder the vastness of our universe, listen to the words of great philosophers that touch you to the core or read a novel that harnesses the truth within you, it may just alter your state on consciousness to where you feel an everlasting part of everyone and everything. Heres to the beauty within us all. XO
