I am a deeply religious and spiritual person. My faith chooses to manifest itself at odd times. Like this morning, when I got dressed for a day in early spring, despite all empirical evidence to the contrary. I realized that my faith in warm weather was misplaced almost immediately, but did not conform my behavior to the clear lack-of-heat in the world, and instead decided to allow my faith to sustain me. I am mildly regretting my decision, because the world is a cold and cruel place for people of faith in situations without a sweater, or thicker pair of socks. My faith will see me through, but as a rational being with free will, perhaps I evolved (or was created) with the good sense to wear an extra layer when it is still in the teens, and to invoke my faith during more metaphysical occurrences and crises-of-conscience, and less actual real-world events and crises of physics.
