I am a digital artist. Whats the difference between my paintings - TopicsExpress

I am a digital artist. Whats the difference between my paintings and one done in something like, say, paint on a canvas? Not the technique. I still sketch, color block, then refine just as I would if I were working in real media. What I dont have to do is prep my canvas with Jesso, spend time washing/maintaining my brushes, mix colors and spend a lot of money on materials. The time and money I save allows me to offer fine art to you at a lower price. :) I just thought I would explain this a little because I needed a page update and because a lot are curious about how I work. That said, people who order snow dog posters, I may very well spend 23 full hours on your painting. Details take time, especially if you are asking for full body, because any artist will tell you that limbs are some of the most challenging parts of a living being to render. And now you have to make sure you get size and weight ratios of each animal correct in proportion to its fur-siblings. Never-mind painting backgrounds, which can add hours to your painting. A lot of people think less of digital work, so Im dispelling some of the misconceptions and giving you all a little insight into my work at the same time :)
