I am a foodie, and I am a reasonably competent cook. I like to cook and watch programs about cooking. There are a couple of people on the Food Network who should look for new occupations. To wit: Anything with Alton Brown is not worth the energy spent or consumed to watch. I doubt he could find his way to the rest room without a teleprompter—and he can’t cook. Tyler Florence is a mediocre cook and HORRIBLE host of anything. He speaks in sentence fragments that don’t usually make sense. If he didn’t have a nice jaw, he would probably be working in a Sheetz. Giada De Laurentiis needs to follow in her forbearers’’ footsteps and get into the world of fashion. Watch her cooking show: she has no clue what she is doing. EVERYTHING is staged for her. And that dumb grin – what is with that? On Chopped, she once commented that a contestant seemed insincere. Is she kidding? There ARE good – EXCELLENT – cooks on Food Network. The above mentioned --- not so much!
